The official list below lists the time slots that are reserved - not exams that have been confirmed. Check with your instructor whether or not the final exam for the course will be conducted during this time.

Locations


The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification exams. Please visit the exam pages for more details on exam topics, exam conditions and conditions, and additional guidelines. If you require special accommodations due to a chronic illness, hearing or visual impairment, contact the exam provider directly. Make sure to provide detailed documentation upon registration.

Faculty can view their exam times by using the "View My Teaching Schedule" task on the Faculty Dashboard in Workday. Final exams for evening classes are scheduled during the regular class meeting times of the final exam weeks.

Registration

Students are advised to check the exam schedule online. It is important to remember that the final schedule of exams may change at any time. If a student has three exams scheduled for the same day it is suggested to contact their instructor or department to arrange an exam to make up. While it is possible to take three tests in one day, it could result in an increase in stress levels and affect the quality of the exam. The professor may not be able to offer an additional test to make up for the missed day.

Before taking the exam Students must prepare for the exam by studying their syllabus and practicing their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test which tests the ability to read, speak and write in German. The exam results are reported on a scale of A1 to C2. Students who pass the test are awarded a Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate certifies that the student has reached language level A1. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competence outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The exam is free.
