The official list below only shows time slots reserved and not confirmed exams. Check with your instructor if the course will have its final exam during this time.

Before registering, be sure to read the Goethe exam guidelines and terms and conditions on each individual exam page. Also, be sure to make sure you register at the correct exam level.

Locations

The Exam Schedule lists the locations where DEP conducts operator qualification exams. Please consult individual exam pages for additional guidelines, conditions and guidelines and exam content. Registration



Students are encouraged to consult the exam schedule online. It is important to keep in mind that the final schedule of exams may be altered at any time. Therefore, students should consult with their instructors to make sure they have the correct date and time for their test. Students should be sure to print out the official list and bring it with them to their exams.

In addition to the exam schedule, students should also familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines and terms and conditions. These are available on the individual exam pages. After registering, students acknowledge that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

If a student has three examinations scheduled for the same day, it is suggested to contact their instructor or department to arrange an exam to make up. Although it is possible to take three exams in a single day, it can result in high stress levels and could affect the quality of the test. The professor might not be able to offer a makeup test on another day.

Before taking the exam, students must prepare by studying their course material and practicing their German skills. The test is a written test that tests your ability to read and write German. The examination results are reported on a scale of A1 to C2. Students who pass the test are awarded an Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate documents achievement of language level A1. This level corresponds to the first level of the six-level scale of competence outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The test is free. Students are required to bring an ID that is valid for government purposes to the test. Those without a valid photo identification will be disqualified.

Fees

If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to receive a Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you will need to pay the exam fee. This is in addition to the course fee.

Practice assessments allow you to get a feel for the style of the test, the language, and the difficulty of the questions on the test. They allow you to assess your knowledge, identify gaps and increase your chances of passing the test.

Please note that the examination fee isn't refundable. The results of the examination are only available via email and not by telephone.
